Dadawarra from Mungullah, WA declares his sovereignty

Dadawarra says a 1,041 page Federal Court judgement on native title in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia seven years ago affirmed him as the sovereign ruler of the Commonwealth, extinguishing the Crown's sovereignty at the same time.

He argues through a complex marriage of Western Australian and national legislation, and ancient Aboriginal customary law - may actually hold water, with cryptic comment from the Federal Court doing nothing to dispel it. [node:read-more:link]

Gathering of Nations Canberra 21 & 22 November 2015

In the two days of the Gathering of Nations the 150 participants, delegates and observers from all over Australia, were presented with research and information in respect to the key issues facing First Nations Peoples today and the progress to date in the assertion of First Nations sovereignty at a national level. "Queen got no right here. This is our Country, under our Tjukurpa Law ..." - Murray George

Tjilpi (senior Lawmen), Wati (Lawmen) and Pompa (Law Women) have now come to understand how the authority of the Tjukurpa Law is what gives the sovereign Peoples, the Anangu, dominion, in the absolute sense, over their Lands and Territories. They have now decided to develop their own strategies for their Tjukurpa Law to be the effective Law in their County, as it was before the whiteman came. If the white people want their law to have any effect then, from now on, that will have to be subject to negotiation with the decision-makers in the Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Law and Culture Pty Ltd company. Callous police raid on the Redfern Aboriginal Tent Embassy

Redfern Aboriginal Tent Embassy

We must avoid attacking each other. This fits right into the concepts and expectations that mainstream have with regard to Aboriginal Peoples. There are other ways to solving problems, other than calling upon the NSW Police.
We must always maintain the knowledge of who our true enemy is and it is certainly not a group of people who seek to take back ownership of that which we fought for and continue to fight for right through to this day. [node:read-more:link]

Leadership is the great challenge for Freedom Summit delegates - as 'The Gap' widens

Having concluded his analysis of the Freedom Summit, Ghillar Michael Anderson said it was clear that a great majority of the people who attended were determined to assert their sovereignty. He acknowledged the polarity between the people of different backgrounds, something that has never been so apparent before, and saw the coming together of these groups with an understanding that each can support the other. He also reminds us that 'The Gap' is 'widening' at an alarming rate and there are great challenges for the delegates, who will need to prioritise the needs for the short, medium and long term, and lead.
