In the lead up to the Canberra premiere of Star Stories of the Dreaming Ghillar Michael Anderson Euahlayi Lawman and knowledge holder said in Canberra:
"It feels great to highlight to Australia and the world, through film, that we have a very vibrant ongoing culture that dates back over 100 000 years. We are seen and recognised as the oldest living culture on the earth and yet very little is known of our beliefs, Our Stories and our culture itself. Before deciding to make this film I spoke with the remaining Elders of the Euahlayi, and got an agreement from them that is time to educate others of who we are and what we have and what we know. This agreement is on the basis that nothing sacred is revealed.
Star Stories of The Dreaming is the Euahlayi genesis Story.”
