What a shame, considering yesterday we concluded National Reconciliation Week, which commemorates the 1967 referendum, recognising Aboriginal Australians, and the High Court Mabo decision. Reconciliation Week is celebrated to “live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respected relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’’. According to its website, Reconciliation Australia promotes and facilitates respect, trust and positive relationships between white and black Au...

The remains not only belong to the first herd or family group of dinosaurs discovered in the country, they also represent the most complete dinosaur fossil yet found preserved in opal. Discovered near the town of Lighting Ridge, about 450 miles northwest of Sydney, the hundred-odd bones have a rare blue-gr...

Aboriginal activist says Australia's national anthem is about ENGLAND - and suggests a new 'inclusive' Advance Australia Fair  Daily Mail

Sports star and activist Joe Williams has suggested a new national anthem - saying Advance Australia Fair does not represent many Australians, especially Indigenous people.
