The 'youlk' looks similar to a kipfler potato and grows in poor sandy soil, which is unsuitable for grain growing or grazing and is now being farmed by an Aboriginal growing group in south west WA as a pilot for more groups. The growing group project is expected to run like other mainstream grower groups. But it is a customised group for Aboriginal farmers as many Indigenous-owned farming properties had different management logistics to other modern-day farms. In some cases, there are 20 members and in some cases 120 members so it is a whole different dynamic to the colonial farming protocol. [node:read-more:link]

White Australia must consider the damage that disregard generates, and understand that from the Aboriginal perspective, white ways are not the only ways, or necessarily the best ways.
 
Many of our survey respondents expressed a willingness to improve the relationship. But so long as white Australia is resistant to Indigenous inclusion on any terms but its own, it’s hard to see how progress can be made.

Letter to SU - '... While I fall into the white/migrant category of Australians I would have to be blind not to see the deceitful and exploitative nature of the Crown and its local agents, as well as the 'assimilate or die' tactics used against the Aboriginal people ...

Tolerating the Crown despite its crimes against humanity would amount to acquiescing to those crimes and inviting their continuation. [node:read-more:link]
