In 2010 Rosalie Kunoth-Monks OAM took the ‘Loss of Rights’ report to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in Geneva. For a number of years she has been to various areas and cities around Australia voicing her grave concerns about the impacts and trauma the NT Intervention is causing people living under it. Key measures of the NT Intervention have been extended for another 10 years under the “Stronger Futures” legislation.

Rosalie Kunoth-Monks OAM has decided to stand as a candidate for the NT Senate under the umbrella of Australia's First Nations Political Party in an attempt to have her voice and the voice of First Nations Peoples heard more widely.

I have met and heard Rosalie speak on several occasions and am helping on a personal level

The Policy positions for the party she is standing for are:
Roll back the effects of the intervention

2. Caring for Country
3. Cultural diversity
4. Economic development
