'Day One' of the Sit-in was successful in gaining world attention, due to the government 'spill' being moved forward by a day. The Aboriginal Sovereign Manifesto of Demands was delivered in person to both sides of the Commonwealth Government.
The Manifesto begins with:
"We, the Aboriginal Sovereign Peoples with the National Aboriginal Freedom Movement demand that the Commonwealth of Australia begins negotiations to establish a time frame for our decolonisation, through Treaties under the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties with the legitimate authorised representatives of each Nation State. This will form the basis of the recovery framework for the healing from the devastation wreaked upon Aboriginal Nations and Peoples by State sanctioned genocide and gross violations of human rights. ..."

"The time has come where we must draw the line in the sand to use Arabunna Elder, Kevin Buzzacott 's statement: 'The Black Line is drawn', in respect to the issue of constitutional reform and recognition. The intent of genocide in its rawest form. We will be finished as a distinct race of people, approved of by the selected few chosen First Nations people. This is wrong and absolutely unjust!. If we are going to be wiped out through assimilation, then we must stand and fight by whatever means possible.

With millions of dollars being spent on the Recognise campaign, many First Nations people are asking: Who they are trying to convince – non-Aboriginal people or Aboriginal people? The real hidden agenda is to coerce Aboriginal Nations and Peoples to become part of the Australian Constitution and by doing so consent to be governed. The Commonwealth government can then claim that Aboriginal Nations and Peoples have acquiesced. This is the main weapon the Crown has to counter our sovereignty movement.

We can be almost certain that the First Nations people did occupy the coast “where the Great Barrier Reef now stands” during the last ice age for it would have comprised broad floodplains and undulating hills with a range of subsistence possibilities, bordered in most parts by steep cliffs ... then the story might date from as much as 13,000 years ago. A more conservative interpretation, based on a sea level just 30 metres lower than today, would place the age of this story at around 10,000 years ago.

While repatriation has been happening in Australia for decades, Mr Sullivan says it is something that can't be truly quantified, nor something that can shed value over time. "That don't mean nothing, being common, it'll still have the same effect as it will for the first time and for the hundredth time." The reality of the task became clear to Mr Quayle when, years ago, he visited the Australian Museum as part of his work with the culture and heritage division in the NSW government. He found his ancestor's remains stacked on shelves and collecting dust in the museum's basement.

We must avoid attacking each other. This fits right into the concepts and expectations that mainstream have with regard to Aboriginal Peoples. There are other ways to solving problems, other than calling upon the NSW Police.
We must always maintain the knowledge of who our true enemy is and it is certainly not a group of people who seek to take back ownership of that which we fought for and continue to fight for right through to this day.

Australian governments continually and blatantly attack the most vulnerable in our communities and argue that they are concerned for our welfare and the widening 'Gap' in terms of the disparity in our education, etc., while calling us Australian citizens.
But we know we are not Australians citizens under the Australian Constitution and never have been and this is why governments can commit the gross violations of human rights against us and think they can get away with it.

Having concluded his analysis of the Freedom Summit, Ghillar Michael Anderson said it was clear that a great majority of the people who attended were determined to assert their sovereignty. He acknowledged the polarity between the people of different backgrounds, something that has never been so apparent before, and saw the coming together of these groups with an understanding that each can support the other. He also reminds us that 'The Gap' is 'widening' at an alarming rate and there are great challenges for the delegates, who will need to prioritise the needs for the short, medium and long term, and lead.

First Nations and Peoples across Australia assembled in Alice Spings for a Freedom Summit.

After the two day summit, the Nations' delegates declared sovereign power and authority within the Territories of the United Tribes of the First Nations Lands. In a collective capacity, they declared that they will not permit any legislative authority separate from themselves to exist on their Lands.
