An insight into the proposed 'Indigenous voice co-design process' based on assimilation, which is in opposition to First Nations voices on the assertion of sovereignty.

First Nations true Voice is the Sovereign Voice of the owners of this ancient land who hold the oldest continuing culture on earth. The current ‘Indigenous voice co-design process’ is a cynical assimilationist affront to our right to self-determination and self-governance. [node:read-more:link]

Enshrinement of the Voice to Parliament and wide participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the voice will remove the last barrier for decolonisation of Australia. That is the true agenda behind the Uluru Statement.

It will not give land back, reparations, internationally-binding negotiated terms or the truth. Just like 1967 was for the benefit of the colony, so is the Uluru Statement. [node:read-more:link]

Join the dots between the current Recognition campaign; Constitutional inclusion; Native Title Act's Preamble; Australia's obligations to the UN and the CERD; Special Measures; the Treaty processes and the insistence that First Nations Peoples are called 'Indigenous Australians' ... then there is the Victorian treaty legislation that introduces itself by stating that the people the treaty is for is Victorian Aborigines. Our greatest fear is not whether we negotiate a Treaty, but the forcing through of the Recognition campaign for inclusion in the colonial Constitution. Ghillar, Michael Anderson, provides an historical insight into the NAIDOC 2019 theme ‘Voice, Treaty, Truth’, which reveals that each time First Nations Sovereignty rises up too powerfully it is suppressed in favour of the ‘trip wire to assimilation’. The ‘Voice’, of the NAC was shafted in 1984; the NAC ‘Treaty’ framework was dismantled and ‘Truth’ has barely been heard yet. [node:read-more:link]

Recognition was not ditched with the "R" campaign, it's alive and well after the issue of the 'Uluru' (Yulara) Statement. Australians and Indigenous alike are being deceived. Recognition in the Constitution's preamble is part of the current reforms, and is a massive danger to Aboriginal Sovereign rights. Australia's legitimacy as a sovereign state cannot and will not be achieved while our First Nations Peoples continue to challenge its sovereignty. The ongoing deceit and treachery that is occurring in our First Nations' struggle is fuelled by the intent of the occupying colonising power to gain legitimacy by stealth. Land Councils are challenging our people asserting their sovereign position, by telling them their sovereignty status is a 'load of rubbish', and governments are propagating coercive lies to our people about the beneficial outcomes of constitutional recognition and/or Treaty(s). Response to the Referendum Council's so-called modest and substantive recommendation of a referendum to have an advisory-only 'Indigenous Voice' in parliament. $800 million plus has now gone down the gurgler, but then this is what happens when a government meets resistance, a resistance that has been going since 1770. It must be an enormous disappointment for the Turnbull government and Shorten's expectations that Leibler and his First Nations cohorts have failed miserably to deliver the goods, that is to assimilate First Nations Peoples in to the colonial constitution.
