Goomeroi Media LogoTalking straight-out was the only way to go at the June 2012 Sovereignty Gathering in Toomelah NSW over heightened community concerns about the frightening effects of social isolation, gross neglect and institutional failures in duty of care by Australian Governments.

The meeting attendees included grandmothers, mothers, daughters, grandfathers, fathers, sons and representatives from the 'Goomeroi Sovereign Tent Embassy' in Moree and 'Woomera Sovereign Union' and 'Brisbane Sovereign Tent Embassy' in Musgrave Park, and the newly established 'Mirrabooka Sovereign Sisters'. Michael Anderson, National Co-ordinator of 'Sovereign Union' was also one of the speakers at the gathering.
